Made possible by an Iowa Math and Science Education Partnership (IMSEP) grant, CESMEE is able to award scholarships for up to $2000 (Spring 2009) and $4000 (Summer 2009) for individuals who best meet the requirements for the award.
CRITERIA
The successful applicant will:
- be admitted to the ISU teacher education program --OR- the MAT program in science education --OR- the Math Licensure M.Ed. program.
- be preparing to teach science and/or math at the secondary level. Students majoring in elementary education may be considered if they have declared an emphasis in science or math.
- be registered for a minimum of 10 credit hours (spring, 2009) or 6 credit hours (summer, 2009)
- show professional promise and evidence of leadership potential as described in 2 letters of recommendation.
- have registered with the ISU Office of Student Financial Aid and completed a FAFSA form.
Although not required, academic merit, financial need, and membership in an underrepresented group will all be considered when demonstrated in an individual's application and letters of recommendation.
